Bouzouki Maker In The USA

My inspiration comes in helping spread the rich Greek musical
tradition around the world and give our youth new ways of spending
their free time in more productive ways.
I was always searching for new sounds in traditional Greek stringed
instruments like the BOUZOUKI, BAGLAMA, TZOURA and the LAOUTO.
Through research and experimentation I've created a family of
hybrid instruments such as the LAOUTO-KITHARO (BOWL-BACK GUITAR),
the LAOUTO-BOUZOUKO and the BOUZOUTI. This search had paved
the way towards the development of the next generation in musical
instruments. Through the marriage of modern technology and traditional
lutherie practices came my new additions to the bouzouki family:
and 1999 the Silencer was introduced to the public (my version
of a solid body travel/practice bouzouki as well as a stage
performer). My hope was that these advances would help the family
of Greek musical instruments become more popular with other
cultures.
